Liberian Fathers Rise Up

Liberian Fathers There are some really great Liberian fathers out there. I am talking about those fathers who are willing to do anything to make sure their children are emotionally, spiritually, mentally and financially protected.  But,  Lord oh Lord, some are just poor of an accuse for a dad. Dear Dead Beat Liberian Fathers, Liberian single mothers will do the best they can without you, but they should not have to. I know many of you will blame some of your kid’s mothers for you not being in their lives, but honestly those are just more excuses. If a man with no arms can drive a car with his feet, then you can find a way to be in your child’s life. Nothing should be able to stop you from playing an active role in your child’s life. If you live in another state, then you should be calling your child everyday. Even if you have to buy them a prepaid phone and ship it to them so you can talk to them, do it. Throughout the year, save some money so you can go visit them in t

Liberia Music Industry: The Rise of Female Record Labels

C Liberia Clearly Records CEO Berenice Mulubah On Average, artists and songwriters visualize males when they think of producers or of those in senior creative positions. There are less female artists winning awards, getting booked or securing major collaborations with their counterparts. With a slim chance of hope, few females within the Liberian Music Industry are fighting to change the status quo. In 2018, Mz Menneh ran a gender equality campaign for few artists. In 2015, the retired blogger and radio host launched Zama Records, co-partnering with her ex Jon Bricks, who was also the first and only artist of the label. After the two spilt, Berenice Mulubah walked away from the label in good faith. The CEO who is one of the pioneers of the Liberian blogging industry, is back with a new record label, named afte

Learning from my Wrong

I am incredibly hard on myself when it comes to being wrong and making big decisions in life. But, being wrong isn't as bad as we make it out to be. I have made many mistakes and I have discovered few lessons from my experiences. When I look back on my choices from a year ago, I always hope to find a few decisions that seem stupid now because that means I have grown. If you only live in the safety zone where you know you can’t mess up, then you’ll never unleash your true potential.  There is no reason to be depressed or give up simply because you made a few wrong choices. Even more crucial, you must try your best every time because it is the effort and the practice that drives the learning process. They are essential, even if you fail. Realize that no single choice is destined to fail, but that occasional failure is the cost you have to pay if you want to be right.
